Supporting facial balance with volume restoration

Supporting facial balance with volume restoration

Restoring facial balance and structure

Over time, it’s normal for facial volume and structure to change. Some people also naturally have areas where volume is less prominent.

Volume restoration treatments are designed to support facial balance and contour by replacing or enhancing areas where fullness has reduced. During your consultation, your practitioner will assess your individual needs and discuss whether this type of treatment is suitable for you.

ATTENTION: For your health and safety please do not have any facial treatments within two weeks of your Volume Replacement appointment.

How Volume Replacement Works

Volume restoration treatments use prescription-only injectable products to help restore or enhance areas where facial volume has diminished or is naturally reduced. These products are placed beneath the skin’s surface to support structure and definition.

All treatments are performed only after a comprehensive, face-to-face consultation with a qualified health practitioner. During this appointment, your practitioner will assess your suitability, explain how the treatment works, discuss potential risks and side effects, and outline what to expect during and after the procedure.

Our approach prioritises natural balance, safety, and patient education — ensuring every treatment plan is designed with your comfort and informed choice in mind.

Frequently asked questions about Volume Replacement

  • Does volume replacement hurt?

Most people experience little more than a pinch and some slight pressure but as pain thresholds differ from person to person, you may feel slightly more or less pain.  Any pain you experience will be over very quickly.

  • How old do I have to be to get volume replacement?

You must be at least 18 years of age to undergo any cosmetic procedure.

  • Can I get volume replacement while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Due to the lack of evidence around how volume replacement treatments may or may not affect your baby, for your safety, cosmetic enhancements cannot be performed while you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Does volume replacement cause the skin to sag

No.  Volume replacement may stretch your skin slightly, but your skin will return to its natural state when your body eventually metabolises the product.

  • How long does volume replacement last?

The time that the product lasts depends on how quickly your body metabolises it. Some factors that may contribute to how long it lasts include:

    • Level of activity
    • Location of the filler
    • Smoking
    • UV Exposure
    • Stress
    • Skin care health

The product can last anywhere from 3 months to 2 years!

  • Is volume replacement safe?

As the product used for volume replacement is composed of ingredients that naturally occur in the body, volume replacement is perfectly safe.

When administered by a registered cosmetic nurse, the procedure is very safe, and the risk of side effects is very low.

  • What are the risks associated with volume replacement?

As with any medical procedure, there are some potential risk factors including bruising and bleeding which is highly unusual but is possible so please let Joyce know if you are prone to either of these.

  • What if something happens after my volume replacement appointment?

Joyce is always available by phone in the unlikely case that you experience any side effects after your treatment. If you have questions that arise, you can always send Joyce a quick text or give her a call to alleviate any concerns.
